Site Technical Engineer
Job Scope
The Site Technical Engineer is responsible for managing the different technical aspects of the project, estimating resources and costs and working on timely deliverables. S/He addresses technical queries and implements health and safety standards across the site.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure technical feasibility for project parameters, check plans and drawings in coordination with the direct manager
- Allocate technical resources, follow up on work schedules and prepare budget estimates
- Cooperate regularly with the Site Project Manager and Engineers and report updates on technical performance of site projects
- Establish field test methods, conduct regular quality checks and ensure the project’s compliance with applicable practices, policies, performance standards and specifications
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure abidance by occupational health and safety measures
- Prepare technical site reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Act as the main point of call for technical advice and suggest improvements accordingly
- Oversee and manage the site labor force and sub-contractors
- Attend to technical queries, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment as required
- Liaise with clients and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Build design documents using Microsoft Visio, and Auto Cad
- Build port mapping, cabinet layouts, power consumption documents
- Build Passive BoQ, and RFP including “Cabling (copper and Fiber), Patch Panels, Power requirements, Cabinets, etc.”
- Conduct site survey, and build wireless heat map
- Can speak, read, and write Arabic, English, and Urdu
- Supervise, and lead technicians on site installation, and migration
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other related field.
Experience
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
