Job Scope

The IT Security Engineer is accountable for designing, building and enforcing policies and protocols that protect the organization’s computing infrastructure from all forms of threats. S/He provides the organization with advanced solution on cyber threats and helps create strategies to protect network from breaches.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor networks and systems from intrusions and anomalous behavior
Develop plans to respond, recover and mitigate emerging threats and attacks and report to direct manager
Source and implement new security solutions to better protect the organization
Install and use firewalls, data encryption and other security products and procedures
Conduct periodic network scans and testing for exploitable weaknesses and threats
Work with internal stakeholders on preventing and mitigating emerging threats
Lead incident response and conduct technical investigations in case of a breach and related damages
Provide training on information security standards, policies and best practices

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or any other related field

Experience

At least 3 years of relevant experience
