Job Scope
The Channel Program Manager is accountable for developing best-in-class channel programs, marketing campaigns and other initiatives driving performance and company profit. The role covers Retail, Apple Premium Resellers, Monobrand Resellers and Independent Retail Programs and requires a one-to-many relationship with channel partners and key internal stakeholders in the company. S/He manages associated budgets and performs periodic quality checks while reporting on metrics.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical and Operations
- Develop best-in-class channel programs and ascertain a successful execution as per set program guidelines and plans
- Handle a flawless rollout and execution of program changes due to new product introductions (NPI) and/or program refresh including Apple programs, Apple Premium Reseller (APR), Apple Shop (AS) and White and Monobrand Resellers
- Drive world-class merchandising deployment in consumer electronic retail, manage POS performance and execution of demand generation in close cooperation with retail partners
- Manage and control joint market offering plans and quarterly marketing development and promotional budgets
- Drive channel performance via best-in-class marketing campaigns including events, awareness activities, traffic generation and new store openings
- Manage associated budget limitations and maximize cost efficiencies through post-activity evaluations measuring ROI and driving future programs
- Plan the sales training requirements of channel partners on a quarterly basis and coordinate with the Training Manager on the execution and compliance of programs
- Perform quality checks on programs through quarterly mystery shopping and audits and generate metrics accordingly
- Manage and execute the marketing budget across all consumer partners in the region
- Support the consumer sales in the quarterly budget allocation
- Work on the creatives in coordination with the partners and ensure a proper execution in accordance with set marketing guidelines
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on new store openings, guarantee the timely placement and training of staff and ensure partners are operating smoothly upon inauguration
- Conduct a coverage analysis, monitor sales performance and other metrics and raise recommendations to concerned
- Stay abreast of latest developments, launches and/or revamp of program(s)
Talent Development
- Lead and coach the team cultivating empowerment and ownership
- Develop capabilities and secure a solid succession plan
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs and oversee development plans.
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics or any other related field.
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
