BMC Helix Operations Management Consultant

Job Scope

We are seeking a skilled BMC Helix Operations Management (On-Prem) Engineer to implement, configure, and manage BMC’s monitoring and event management solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BMC Helix Operations Management (formerly TrueSight Operations Management) in on-premises environments, along with expertise in integrating ITSM, AIOps, and automation workflows.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage BMC Helix Operations Management (On-Prem) solutions, including monitoring, event correlation, and automation.
• Integrate Helix Operations Management with ITSM, CMDB, and AIOps platforms.
• Develop and optimize policies for event processing, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
• Configure Proactive Service Resolution (PSR) and ensure effective noise reduction in event correlation.
• Manage BMC Discovery and CMDB integration for improved visibility and service mapping.
• Provide performance tuning and troubleshooting for BMC Helix Operations Management components.
• Implement custom dashboards, reports, and KPIs for enhanced observability.
• Collaborate with network, server, and application teams to optimize event management and monitoring.
• Develop automation scripts and integrations using REST APIs, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and version migrations for BMC Helix solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other related field.
