n8n Developer

Job Scope

We are looking for an n8n Developer to design and maintain automated workflows, integrations, and AI-enhanced processes across the organization. This role combines workflow automation, API integration, and optional Generative AI capabilities to streamline operations and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with n8n, JavaScript/TypeScript, APIs, and is comfortable integrating AI tools when required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize n8n workflows to automate business processes.

  • Build custom nodes using JavaScript/TypeScript when required.

  • Integrate systems via APIs (REST, GraphQL, Webhooks, OAuth2).

  • Implement Gen AI–powered automations where applicable (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.).

  • Collaborate with teams to translate business requirements into scalable workflows.

  • Ensure workflows are secure, stable, and optimized for performance.

  • Set up monitoring, logging, and error-handling systems within n8n.

  • Troubleshoot automation issues and provide timely resolutions.

  • Maintain clear documentation for workflows, integrations, and system logic.

  • Support deployment, cloud setup, versioning, and updates for the n8n environment.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies.

Position Requirements

  • Proven experience with n8n or similar automation tools (Make, Zapier, etc.).

  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills for custom logic and node development.

  • Experience with REST APIs, authentication protocols, and JSON data handling.

  • Understanding of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.

  • Experience deploying solutions using Docker, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other related field

Experience

  • Experience integrating Generative AI (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, HuggingFace).

  • Ability to build AI-based automation such as text generation, summarization, classification, and chat workflows.

  • Knowledge of Python is a plus (for AI models or external scripts).

  • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub).

  • Experience developing custom SaaS integrations.
