Job Scope

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for managing the different technical aspects of the project, estimating resources and costs and working on timely deliverables.  S/He addresses technical queries and implements health and safety standards across the site. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure technical feasibility for project parameters, check plans and drawings in coordination with the direct manager;
• Allocate technical resources, follow up on work schedules;
• Cooperate regularly with the Site Project Manager and Engineers and report updates on technical performance of site projects;
• Establish field test methods, conduct regular quality checks and ensure the project’s compliance with applicable practices, policies, performance standards and specifications;
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure abidance by occupational health and safety measures;
• Prepare technical site reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation;
• Act as the main point of call for technical advice and suggest improvements accordingly;
• Oversee and manage the site labor force and sub-contractors;
• Attend to technical queries, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment as required;
• Liaise with clients and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals;
• Deep understanding of Vertiv cooling units (trainings will be done);
• Testing and commissioning of data center cooling units

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any other related field
