Senior Pre-Sales Consultant

Job Scope

The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant is accountable for advising and coordinating with the sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to solution design and pre-sales implementations. S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Operations

  • Build a detailed design, solution architecture and proposal for a new system
  • Review existing processes and document them accordingly
  • Review and evaluate a software product according to specified procedures and ensure users' needs are determined and met
  • Understand the goal of assigned projects, define design criteria and devise best solutions for clients
  • Ensure solutions stated in the statement of work are best practice and in line with client requirements
  • Manage the sales bid process by responding to RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Create individual bid packages/technical proposals for needed hardware/service resources
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure successful closure of the sales process
  • Review recommendations sent by vendors against requests for quote (RFQs), select the best vendor(s) and incorporate any recommended change meeting client needs
  • Schedule and allocate all service resources required to implement solutions as designed
  • Coordinate detailed engineering plans from each supplier, define project schedule and integrate into a complete cohesive system
  • Lead technical sales calls
  • Develop skills to articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical customers through written submissions and presentations
  • Stay abreast of market trends, products and competitor landscapes

Talent Development

  • Lead and coach the team cultivating empowerment and ownership
  • Develop capabilities and secure a solid succession plan
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs and oversee development plans.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field.

 

Experience

  • At least 7 years of Pre-Sales, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong expertise in designing and positioning network and security solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience conducting technical workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of solution design, sizing, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) preparation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, delivery, and vendor teams throughout the sales cycle.
  • Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, or equivalent) are highly.
