Senior Sales Engineer

Job Scope

The Senior Sales Engineer is accountable for presenting solutions to prospective customers and delivering product demonstrations in cooperation with the sales team. S/He gathers and validates technical requirements for appropriate recommendations and responds to RFI’s and RFP’s addressing technical inquiries accordingly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visit customers and provide pre-sales and post-sales support including installation assistance and limited on-site training
  • Create and provide effective presentations, product demonstrations and technical support during the selling cycle
  • Engage appropriate internal resources namely sales, product management and marketing among others to help close opportunities
  • Support for pilots conducted by enterprise prospects
  • Attend to sales calls and technical inquiries
  • Articulate and demonstrate solutions to business problems to customer executives and staff
  • Assist in qualifying opportunities validating technical requirements and providing appropriate product recommendations
  • Follow-up with prospective customers during evaluation phase
  • Respond to RFI’s and RFP’s

Position Requirements

  • Central Battery Systems: Expertise in design, installation, and maintenance of central battery systems for emergency lighting and backup power solutions.
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems: In-depth knowledge of various UPS configurations (offline, online, and line-interactive), applications in data centers, industrial settings, and critical infrastructure.
  • Diesel Generator Systems: Experience in sales and specification of diesel generator systems, including sizing, load calculations, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is a must. Masters degree is additional.

At least 5 years of relevant experience
