Job Scope

We are seeking an experienced VMware Technical Lead to drive the successful delivery of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) engagements within our Professional Services organization. 

In this role, you will lead the technical execution of enterprise cloud transformation, modernization, migration, and infrastructure initiatives across multiple industries and geographies. You will serve as the primary technical authority on customer engagements, ensuring solutions are architected, implemented, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and operational excellence. 

As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for validating solution architectures, providing technical governance, leading customer workshops, resolving complex technical challenges, and guiding projects through to successful production handover. You will work closely with customers, project managers, architects, consultants, and partner teams to ensure successful business outcomes. 

Beyond project delivery, you will play a key role in developing the consulting practice by mentoring team members, promoting technical excellence, sharing best practices, and helping build the next generation of VMware consultants and architects. 

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who combines deep VMware expertise with strong consulting, customer engagement, and team leadership capabilities. 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) engagements, from discovery and design through implementation, validation, and production handover. 
  • Own the technical success of customer projects by ensuring solutions are delivered in alignment with VMware and Broadcom best practices. 
  • Review, validate, and refine architectures, designs, and implementation plans to ensure scalability, operational readiness, and customer success. 
  • Act as the primary technical authority for assigned engagements, providing leadership to project teams and serving as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate technical workshops, design reviews, architecture discussions, and executive-level customer engagements. 
  • Drive technical governance, quality assurance, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges across the VCF stack, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF Operations, VKS, Automation, and related technologies. 
  • Mentor, coach, and enable consultants and architects by sharing knowledge, reviewing deliverables, and promoting technical excellence. 
  • Contribute to practice development through reusable assets, standards, best practices, and technical enablement initiatives. 
  • Support presales activities, solution reviews, effort estimation, and technical qualification when required. 

Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other related field
  • The following certifications are highly desirable: 
    1. VMware & Broadcom Certifications 
    2. VMware Certified Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCP-VCF) 
    3. VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) 
    4. VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) 
    5. VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) Certifications 
    6. Other advanced VMware or Broadcom certifications relevant to VMware Cloud Foundation and the Broadcom portfolio 
  • Cloud Native & Kubernetes Certifications 
    1. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) 
    2. Other Kubernetes and cloud-native certifications are considered advantageous 

Experience

  • 14+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting VMware-based infrastructure solutions. 
  • Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), with practical experience leading VCF deployments in enterprise environments. Experience with VCF 9 is highly desirable. 
  • Deep technical knowledge across key VMware technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF Operations, Automation, VKS, and associated ecosystem components. 
  • Proven experience leading complex infrastructure and cloud transformation projects from design through production. 
  • Strong architecture, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities across multi-domain environments. 
  • Excellent customer-facing, consulting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence technical decisions. 
  • Experience leading technical teams, driving delivery excellence, and mentoring consultants and architects. 
  • A passion for continuous learning, technical innovation, and developing the capabilities of others.
  • You should possess strong hands-on expertise across a significant portion of the VMware Cloud Foundation ecosystem, including: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9), SDDC Manager, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VMware Aria Suite, HCX, VMware Live Recovery (SRM), and vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS).
  • We do not expect candidates to be experts in every technology listed. What matters most is a solid foundation across the core VCF stack, proven experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions, and a willingness to continuously expand your knowledge across the broader VMware and Broadcom portfolio.
