Logistics Officer
Job Scope
The Logistics Officer is accountable for overseeing the inbound operations and inventory management. S/He maintains communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage outbound shipments, follow up with clearing and forwarding agents and monitor the turnaround time (TAT)
- Process customer orders for all products in compliance with the company's policies and procedure
- Receive, review, acknowledge and place customer sales orders accurately and promptly on the ERP system
- Fulfill orders once released from credit
- Coordinate with clearing agents and customs to maximize efficiency in terms of time and quality
- Verify customs documentations for exports and transfer of ownership
- Track shipments and update internal stakeholders on order backlogs and information
- Work with logistics, sales and credit teams to ensure order fulfilment in a timely manner
- Handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate issues when necessary
- Update sales resports as required and manage ad hoc requests as and when necessary
- Investigate product complaints and raise Return Material Authorization (RMA) request with Vendors
- Invoice software, services and licenses to customers following credit approval
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field
Experience
1 to 3 years of relevant experience
