Job Scope

The SMB Sales Manager for Retail Network is responsible for building, developing and managing the SMB segment across the iSTYLE retail network in Slovakia. The role is accountable for creating a scalable sales model for SMB customers within stores, increasing SMB revenue, expanding the SMB customer base and ensuring consistent execution of SMB activities across the retail network.

 

The position combines business development, retail cooperation and people performance management. The SMB Sales Manager leads and supports SMB-focused sales representatives, sets clear performance expectations, manages pipeline quality and conversion, and ensures the team delivers agreed sales targets and business KPIs.

 

The role acts as the main link between retail operations and SMB business development, ensuring that stores actively identify SMB opportunities, escalate them properly and convert them into measurable business results. The role also contributes to sales planning, reporting, forecasting and continuous improvement of SMB sales processes in the retail environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Operations

  • Define and implement the SMB sales approach across the retail network in Slovakia.
  • Build a sustainable and scalable SMB segment through stores, with clear ownership, sales standards and business routines.
  • Drive growth of SMB revenue and SMB customer base through active development of new and existing business opportunities.
  • Cooperate closely with Store Managers and retail teams to identify SMB potential and increase lead generation in stores.
  • Ensure all SMB opportunities generated in stores are properly captured, qualified, followed up and converted.
  • Maintain full visibility of the SMB pipeline, customer portfolio and business development activities.
  • Prepare and oversee commercial offers, quotations and customer solutions tailored to SMB needs.
  • Support key customer meetings, in-store business consultations and local business development activities where needed.
  • Monitor SMB sales performance, pipeline quality, lead conversion and execution discipline across the retail network.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts, performance updates and market development reports in line with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the setup and continuous improvement of SMB processes, cooperation model and reporting discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with internal commercial procedures, company policies and approval processes.
  • Identify new market opportunities, local partnerships and growth potential within the SMB segment.
  • Secure strong alignment between SMB strategy, store execution and commercial priorities.

Talent Development

  • Lead, coach and develop SMB sales representatives or designated SMB sales owners within the retail network.
  • Set clear expectations on sales performance, customer acquisition, pipeline management and daily execution standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluate individual contribution based on activity, conversion and results.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, direct feedback and development support to improve business discipline and sales effectiveness.
  • Identify capability gaps, training needs and underperformance, and implement corrective or development actions where needed.
  • Build ownership, accountability and result orientation within the SMB team.
  • Support succession planning and development of future SMB experts within the retail organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, organize time effectively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with pipeline, sales reports and business data.
  • Ability to cooperate cross-functionally with retail teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Good user knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or any other related field.

Experience

At least 3 years of relevant experience.
