Job Scope

The Manager - Logistics Operations is accountable for fulfilling a smooth ordering and delivery process while managing 3PL operations for the assigned region, handling outbound operations and managing inventory. S/He maintains communication with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of goods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Operations

• Study shipment routing and scheduling, consolidate freights and analyze costs optimizing delivery terms
• Manage outbound shipments, follow up with clearing and forwarding agents and monitor the turnaround time (TAT)
• Track outbound shipments in coordination with the sales and warehouse teams and update customers on a timely basis
• Process and document letter of credit (LC) for shipments
• Handle the freight management
• Report any defect/damaged product(s) or overage/shortage in merchandise to the Supply Chain Manager and follow up as necessary
• Verify customs documentation for exports and transfer of ownership
• Perform monthly stock audits
• Manage the stock movement through the warehouse management system
• Coordinate with the sales administration and credit teams for invoicing customer orders
• Prepare and maintain the warehouse petty cash
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all logistics information

• Lead and coach the team cultivating empowerment and ownership
• Develop capabilities and secure a solid succession plan
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs and oversee development plans

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or any other related field

Experience

At least 7 years of relevant experience
