Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Scope

The Pre-Sales Engineer is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to account penetration strategies, pre-sales implementations, solution design keeping current certification for the represented vendor.

S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of asign product portfolio, 
  • Work with the Sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies under the supervision of Sales Manager. 
  • Create specific accounts for product(s), service(s) and sales plans pertaining to the enterprise products, 
  • Collaborate with the Sales team in qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on the technical aspect of the sales lifecycle including technical qualification, presentation of solution proposals and high-level designs and demonstrations;
  • Run, manage and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a pre-sales and implementation perspective;
  • Build sound relationships with partners and customers in support of sales objectives;
  • Lead technical sales calls
  • Identify customers’ queries and problems, attend to their needs and map requirements with existing solutions;
  • Manage adoption, integration and value generation of offered products/services within the customer/partner business and related IT infrastructure
  • Complete required pre-sales documentations in a quick and accurate manner
  • Develop content, train and support partners and customers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customers' business and their technical environment, 
  • Mentor other system engineers when and as appropriate 
  • Create training contents for the SE organisation when and if necessary 
  • Put available systems into practice (salesforce.com CRM for leads, opportunity and deal registration management) for output efficiency and standardization.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field.

 

Position Requirements

Maintain current certification from the represented vendors. 

Experience

At least 3 years of relevant experience.
