Job Scope

The Financial Controller is accountable for overseeing, analyzing and forecasting the group’s financial activities while ensuring efficient and timely reporting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the local financial team in the operations and provide guidance when needed
  • Prepare and analyze the group financial positioning with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budget while reporting on findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Ensure the timely preparation and issuance of standard reports required by the Head Office namely closing, QBR, consolidation, audit and budget reports
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly closing reports (AR, AP, margin reports, etc…)
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Highlight any delay from auditors to both the President and SVP - Financial Control and assist in clearing misstatements
  • Conduct necessary reviews on reports, validate, analyze and submit findings and recommendations if applicable
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, local fiscal laws and accounting principles, assess risks and highlight findings to both the President and SVP - Financial Control
  • Follow up with the external auditors on the issuance and validation of the audit reports of assigned companies
  • Manage and comply with reporting requirements and tax filings as per governing laws and regulations
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of weekly and monthly cashflow to senior management and head office
  • Approve the payment of all expenses as per the policies and procedures in place
  • Identify opportunities for improving and adjusting existing workflows and submit recommendations accordingly
  • Ensure proper implementation of new systems and tools, train the local financial teams and ensure optimal usage by all parties

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related field

Experience

At least 10 years of relevant experience
