Account Manager
Job Scope
The Enterprise Account Manager is responsible for achieving quota by selling solutions into a defined territory that includes current Commvault customers and prospects. The position is a field sales account role where the AM will engage in face-to-face sales with customers directly and through partners. The Account Manager is responsible for territory planning, new account acquisition and servicing existing clients while working with local resellers and alliance partners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop a territory plan for your assigned territory.
• Develop executable strategic account plans for your top accounts. (At least 5 top accounts per FY).
• Achieve and Exceed Quarterly and Annual Revenue Quota.
• Maintain a high level of face-to-face meeting activity with customers, prospects and partners.
• Prepare and present proposals, walkthroughs and presentations to new and existing clients showing clear value propositions.
• Negotiate and close deals following the company’s practices and processes. All orders, and all engagements must meet all legal and financial compliance requirements.
• Leverage internal sales tools and processes to drive opportunities to a successful close.
• Leverage partners, alliances and existing relationships, as may be needed, to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
• Plan, attend and coordinate executive briefings
• Maintain a high level of up-to-date relevant industry and Commvault knowledge.
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or any other related field.
Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of successful Technology Sales with demonstrable results.
• Ability to articulate the value of Technology Solution to clients.
• Ability to Architect, at a high level, the fit of the solution to the client’s environment and demonstrate/describe this to the client’s understanding.
• Ability to articulate the value of the Technology Solution to - IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Systems, Databases Backup Administrators, CIOs, CISOs and CTOs
• Experience working for Multinational Tech Company will be an advantage.
• Understanding of the data protection and data management industry, products, competitors, history, emerging trends and changing marketplace.
• Demonstrable track record of value-based selling.
• Ability to build and Nurture value-based relationship with key stakeholders in an account in a short time space.
